Spa Therapist

Responsibilities

  • Performing different types of massages, beauty treatments, and wellness therapies.
  • Maintaining detailed records of massages, treatments, and therapies performed on each spa guest.
  • Communicating with guests during massages to adjust massage techniques as required.
  • Resolving guest complaints and reporting any accidents to the supervisor.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, changing treatment room sheets, and sterilizing all instruments and equipment before each use.
  • Explaining massages, treatments, and therapies to guests and providing suitable recommendations as needed.
  • Ensuring that the spa is adequately stocked with spa supplies and reporting shortages to the supervisor.
  • Enquiring about guests’ medical conditions and allergies before providing spa services.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Licensed in massage therapy and cosmetology or aesthetics.
  • Proven experience working as a spa therapist.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications are advantageous.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and different massage techniques.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Patience and respect.

General Admin

Responsibilities

  • Manage data in spreadsheets and reports
  • Keep records and reports up to date
  • Help maintain the budget plan
  • Organize and schedule meetings and events
  • Supervise other staff and delegate responsibilities
  • Handle technical issues in their area of expertise
  • Carry out clerical duties, including answering phones and preparing documents

Qualifications

  • Communication and marketing skills to act at the contact point between internal team members and clients
  • Client relationship management skills to maintain professional communication with customers and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Budgeting, bookkeeping and planning skills and knowledge of associated computer software
  • Quality assurance skills to maintain company quality standards of product and services
  • Time management and prioritization skills to ensure efficient functioning of schedules and office systems

Sous Chef

Responsibilities

  • Writing and redesigning menus
  • Properly pricing items on the menu
  • Creating new menu items
  • Hiring aspiring chefs and training staff
  • Scheduling staff shifts
  • Ensuring kitchen staff members follow rules and regulations
  • Tracking, organizing and ordering inventory
  • Ensuring kitchen equipment complies with industry standards and is repaired or replaced as needed
  • Alternate shifts with the executive chef, with each running the kitchen during their scheduled time
  • Creating a smooth workflow within the kitchen so that diners receive service promptly

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts
  • 2-years experience in same position
  • Good time management skill
  • Great communication skill
  • Team player
